Efficient and organized. Easy access from town centre. I just walk from my hotel to the terminal 46.
It was our first time on a cruise, so a little trepidation crept in. Needn't have worried. 30 minutes from getting off the coach to getting on the boat. So much easier and stress free than an airport. Go to a desk and give them your boarding pass. There check your passport, take your picture and send you to security. Security was easy. Everything was already ready for the scanner, so we put our bag through the machine, went through the scanner and that was it. Airports could take a few lessons here. No messing about.
Nice spot to observe some grand cruise ships. Very calm and also near the city center, so very well worth a detour if you're in Southampton.
On embarkation IT systems failed causing major delays in on boarding Iona
Travelled from mid Wales on 18th Sept 1 night in Premier Inn in Fareham ⁵ star Taxi to port on 19th and boarded with no hassles and earlier than anticipated, we're treated like royalty on our ³rd time with royal Carribbean to Bruges for ³ night trip. 👌
