Good value, quiet, friendly boatyard

I have just had Quayside Marina lift my boat out for annual maintenance and relaunch. The whole team were extremely professional and very helpful. Highly recommended.

We tried out this marina a couple of years ago to save some money and we were impressed with the service, this year we had a terriable exsperiance from the start. Booking a lift was impossiable! The new manager had us waiting for a month from our first call before anything was arranged. We called into the marina 3 times under appointment only to be greeted aggressivly by someone In uniform who claimed there was no one there to help us. We exsplained that we were told to pop by to arrange a lift, the aggressive guy continued by telling us how useless the new manage has been. Confused by what happerned we decided to call by phone to make our arrangements. After 16 phone calls, 5 apparent call backs that never happerned we had booked our lift. That was just the start of our problems. We were charged a extra £200 by the engineers doing the work to our boat because the staff had turned the power off, the batteries were damaged at aditional cost to us, it took 2 hours for the staff to arrive and turn the power on for the workers so we were billed for the engineers waiting to start work. The following weekend I went to the boat myself to do some bits and again the power was off. The manager then came over after a hour and blatently lied to my face and said I had tripped the power. That day there were 4-5 other boat owners and trades people also waiting for the power to be turned back on, the other boat owners confirmed endless issues with the new management. We will not come here again this place went down hill fast its by far the worse place in Southampton now

Excellent location for boat repairs, all you need within a few miles, saved me time when overhauling a sailing boat. Stuart and Andy are very helpful and friendly, excellent pizza place next door aswell! Will certainly use them again. Note no shower as advertsied.

Good, economical place to keep a boat friendly, helpful staff and a good community of knowledgeable bertholders, and a peaceful location with kingfishers and egrets and a variety of wildfowl, despite being close to the city center. The only downside is that it is basic and has no showers yet, and is by the scrap yard. I prefer it as it's easy to get my boat alongside compared to a more cramped marina.
