Commons Wood Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite

Good location for links to London, which makes this an ideal site for those wishing to visit the capital. However, there were lots of comings and goings throughout the day (and night, disturbing the peace!) as people clearly were using the site as temporary accommodation to base themselves for work. This was confirmed, as we spotted several works vehicles, some displaying company logos. Not a true caravan site to enjoy on holiday. On a positive note, the wardens were friendly and kept the facilities clean and tidy.

Stayed one night on our journey back down the country. Like all CAMC sites we have visited, very professionally run with a friendly and helpful check in. Toilet and shower block appeared to be a little small for the size of the site, but we had no issues with having to wait to use the facilities. Right next to Commons Wood which has lots of paths and is very confusing. We got lost in there for an hour before we were rescued by another dog walker. One star lost as the site lacks a little character and we have found other CAMC receptions carry more bits and pieces to buy. Had a very peaceful stay and would happily stay again.

All parts Clean and well kept grounds, with wild areas. Very helpful staff. Buses to local towns

Its a basic campsite, not very big with no areas of nature around it, tucked away in a residential area. Ok if you just need somewhete to stay for the night but not if you want to be close to nature. Good for storage.

Wonderful little campsite. Had all the facilities you need. Easy access via train to London. Good cycling near by too.
